Day 202 - Amanda's back!

Apparently, Amanda has now had enough of Wales and wants to come to Cornwall. We know she had a blast in Wales, so we think she might be coming to see if the coastline is as glorious here as it is there. Tall order, but we are willing to take up the challenge.

Phil and I took the ferry across to Plymouth, did a bit of shopping and then met Amanda on the afternoon train after her 5-hour train journey south. Despite the journey, she seemed rather chipper and was up to the walk back down to the ferry. We made it in time for the last ferry of the day back to Cawsand. She brought the sun back with her, and so our trip across the Sound was quite lovely.

Back in the village, we settled Amanda in her room but didn't give her too long to rest up. On Tuesdays, a small fish and chip van called Ahoy! parks at the top of the village. Given that we are still carrying on our search for the perfect fish and chips, we had to give it a go. After a failed attempt to each said food in the garden of the local village hall (no cutlery), we went back to the cottage to indulge.

Now, it's time to rest, as we only have Amanda here until Sunday, and we have a lot of walking to do over the coming days ... with the challenge of finding both the perfect coastline and the perfect fish and chips!
